Planning is central to the whole experience, and is how we’ll make sure that you have the kind of experience — and get the kinds of photographs — that you want (more about that below).

Afterwards I’ll send you your unique shoot plan. Exciting!

Meet at the shoot location

Preparation

What makes for a exceptional boudoir photography experience? There are so many factors, and a lot have to do with planning. So we’re going to do quite a bit of pre-shoot preparation! During our pre-shoot consultation, we’ll chat about:

  • What you would like to get out of the experience
  • What vibe you want in your photos
  • Where to shoot
  • What outfits to wear
  • What to expect at the shoot

Choosing a location

There are 2 options

  • A hotel or AirBnB in London
  • Your place

London has an exceptional range of hotel & AirBnB rooms available for use during the day. We’ll have a good range of options that we can discuss during our pre-shoot consultation.

If you’d like to do the shoot at your place, we can, and this option would be most true to the as you are philosophy!

Choosing a boudoir style

Cosy and casual? Cute and playful? Feminine and sensual? Bold and sexy? All these can mean different things in terms of location, outfits and poses. During our pre-shoot consultation we’ll talk through these different styles and figure out which is the right style for your shoot.

We’ll also establish clear boundaries for the both of us.

Choosing your outfits

This often depends on the style we’re going for. For example, oversized jumpers and thigh-high socks are great for a cosy and casual vibe, while suspenders and heels can be more sensual or sexy. Choosing the right colours can make a big difference to the photographs, and if you like I can give you guidance on how to select the right colours for our location of choice.
